Meet my beautiful cousin Hilary. This is her adorable family. She decided they were overdue for some family pictures and asked me if I could help them out. I had a vision of an idyllic picnic under a shady oak tree, so we packed up a picnic basket and a quilt and we all trekked up a hill for a family adventure.
It turned out to be a little more adventurous than we planned as the spiders were there in full force weaving huge webs across the trail. We simultaneously realized that while this was an idyllic spot
for a picnic, it was also ideal for ticks. Ewwww! Gross!
They journeyed on! Such troopers. They laid out their quilt and got cozy while I snapped away with my camera. Suddenly, a mangy cat joined the picnic and thought he would make a great addition to the Wiest family. He would not take no for an answer and insisted on snuggling with everyone.
It was hilarious… for me at least.
The kids started getting restless as all kids must and I bribed them with some of my chocolate cookies. The rest of the photo shoot was them yelling “CHOCOLATE COOKIES!”
Which worked out great for me and was super cute.
Thank you Wiest family for going on this more-adventurous-than-planned-for adventure with me

They are awesome but would have been ever so much better if Brian would have worn his Batman uniform.
