Setting up Your Food Coloring Paint Palette

This is my first food coloring palette.  I didn't think ahead or put my colors in order; I was just discovering painting on cookies and I put colors into the wells as I needed them.  It worked great.  I somehow knew where each color was and it served me well.

I wanted to show you my messy, crazy palette because it doesn't really matter what your palette looks like or where your colors are as long as you know the layout, but I will say I've learned a couple of things along my cookie painting journey and thought I would share.

McGoo U Online

I have enjoyed teaching McGoo U classes for a year now.  I can't tell you the fun, the friendships, the laughter I have enjoyed from teaching cookie decorating!  The only downside is that not everyone can come over and play with me.  Not everybody can jump on a plane or drive for days to frost and paint on cookies for an afternoon.

Some of you may have heard I'm working on getting my McGoo U classes ready for their big online debut so that everyone can take a McGoo U class; no plane necessary.  It's true! and I am super close to having McGoo U online and ready to watch, but here is the big secret:  It's more than just an online tutorial.  So.  Much.  MORE!

I created a monster!

Fun Find

I thought today I'd share something that I have fallen in love with (as a peace offering for my long absence?).  I saw this little beauty on the shelf at Beverly's and I thought, "There is no way this stuff will work for cookies.  It probably won't dry or look good... but what the hey?"
