May is almost DONE and we finish the month STRONG! This month, we explore some great cookie businesses and some government approved “official” cookies:

The conversation bounces from GREAT baseball nicknames to ASMR videos! Mr. John also takes sometime to interview Anne Yorks of Flour Box Bakery.

During or chat about official “state” cookies, I mentioned California having the fortune cookie as it’s official cookie. This is due to it’s long history with the cookie in San Francisco. However, after taping, I looked into the origin of fortune cookies. It appears as if they were first made in Kyoto, Japan in the 19th Century and then later popularized in the US by Benkyodo in San Francisco in the 1890’s or early 1900’s.
