Mother’s Day Cookies

I hope all you moms had a fabulous day yesterday!  I loved opening all my handmade cards and gifts from my kids. So fun!  This was such a super, busy weekend.  Lots of cookie orders, a photo shoot with a gorgeous family, a beautiful 10K run on the beach with friends, and Mother’s Day.

I thought I’d share some cookies I made this weekend.  I got a call from a lovely lady named Melanie who saw my cookies at the auction last week and wanted some bright flower cookies for a Mother’s Day brunch.  I was inspired by some vintage floral fabrics and decided I would paint a different floral on each cookie.  It was so much fun and I’m so happy with how they came out.

I love handing over my little creations and seeing and hearing people’s reaction to them.  I know a cookie is a very temporary canvas, but I am not sad when someone eats it.  It makes me super happy.  I know it’s rather cheesy, but it’s like that little piece of art just became a part of them.  They literally ingest my art!  How cool is that!?

Lots more cookies to post about and of course some pics from that gorgeous family shoot comin’ soon!
