The Go Bo! Bake Sale is coming up!

Hi everyone! You’ve probably seen the orange ribbons, the goat (that adorable, adorable goat!) and pictures of gorgeous cookies getting shipped off to Wisconsin; which means it’s that time of year for the Go Bo Foundation Bake Sale.  This incredible fundraiser combines the efforts of bakers all across the globe to raise money for an amazing cause.  This is the 5th annual event, headed by Jill Wettstein, the fantastic cookier behind Funky Cookie Studio. The Go Bo! Foundation brings hope to children with life-threatening medical conditions by funding research, supporting treatment, and helping their families during times of financial need.

Every year generous cookiers send their creations to Sister Bay, Wisconsin for this amazing collaborative event. Can’t make it to Wisconsin? No problem! This year ALL of us can get in on the action! This weekend (October 7-9), incredible cookies from around the world will be auctioned off LIVE on Periscope. AND there will be LIVE flash sales on Facebook. To find out how you can participate, go to gobobakesale.com.  Right in the middle of the home page it says “Online GoBo Bake Sale” in red letters. Click that & you’ll learn all about it! This is a great way to buy cookies from your favorite cookie artist and help a great cause.

Here are the cookies I made for the live auction:

Go Bo Bake Sale Betty.  She is excited to join Jill FCS and volunteer at the bake sale and is decked out in a Go Bo sweater and orange scarf.

A girl for every season.  They are spice cookies.  Gives a whole new meaning to “spice girls”.  All together now!

I can’t wait to see behind the scenes at the bake sale this weekend!  Go Bo!
