Cookie Giveaway!

Cookie for your thoughts!  With cookie-making the sky is the limit when it comes to designing cookies.  I’ve seen cookies of just about everything from cars to animals, plants, to people, and yesterday I spotted a cigarette butt cookie… no joke!  Mr. John wanted me to make a Charlie Sheen “winning” cookie.  So it got me thinking:  What would you LOVE to see on a cookie?  something maybe you’ve never seen before in cookie form, but imagine would look amazing.

Here’s what you do:

1.  Leave your incredibly awesome and unique idea below in a comment.

2.  Become my BFF through Google Friend connect, follow on twitter, like on facebook.  This won’t increase your chances, but it will make it easier to see if you’ve WON! and I love making new friends ๐Ÿ˜€

3.  Wait impatiently until Friday to see if you are the winner!

Here’s what I do:

1.  Read each awesome idea and get inspired.

2.  Decide which idea is most awesome.

3.  Make a dozen of the most awesome cookies and send them to the WINNER!

4.  Say awesome 300 more times.

Harry Potter! Harry Potter! Harry Potter! Parry Hotter!! whoops got carried away! The movies are ending this year, and it would be a great way to commemorate them:)

How about some True Blood cookies.

Or a Kindle cookie with a cool book on the screen.

    Sorry I'm a bookworm. LOL

P.S. Blogger sucks right now and won't let me log on to post my comment.

Ok, so my family and I are HUGE Disney fans (just ask Cari!) ๐Ÿ™‚

While we are equally in love with D-Land or D-World… I was born in Florida, My Dad helped build the Jungle Cruise, i grew up in O-Town, so the "east coast mouse" has a special place in my heart!

I'd LOVE LOVE LOVE to see cookies that were inspired by the 4 Walt Disney World Parks (Magic Kingdom, EPCOT, Disney's Hollywood Studios and Animal Kingdom)

And hint hint.. if I win and you need inspiration, I have LOADS of fun pictures to share.

We are not planing a trip to any of the parks this year (SOB) so some fun cookies would be awesome to get us through the year missing our Mickey!

  4. I've got a couple ideas, so I'll throw them your way…I know it won't increase my chance of winning but I love sharing ideas with you. Like you don't have a million and one ideas all ready in your head. ๐Ÿ™‚ I was thinking playground equipment; swing, slid, merry-go-round that kind of thing. Another idea; along the supernatural, werewolves, vampires, zombies…can you tell I'm ready for Halloween all ready. :)I have more but maybe I'll wait to tell you about those later. ๐Ÿ˜€

Well I know you have Pinkalicious and Jewel Kade covered…
I was going to suggest some Disney cookies too: Cars, princesses, castles, winnie the pooh.

Being a cookie designer myself, I have to get away from the characters and make beautiful use of your a-ma-zing painting abilities! PLEASE! I want you to paint a portrait/water color of my Maggie girl (that would be my Maltese. I know it would be outrageous and you would make a million with this idea! Just thank me later ๐Ÿ˜‰

  7. Ah, so many possibilities. Soft landscapes, with your amazing abilities would be perfect. A little beach scene, sunset, palm tree…you get the idea. You could do something luminescent like Kinkade…little cottages with foliage or water around. The Savior's Hands over a light house for a baptism, or missionary farewell. Just some ideas to start you out with. Heehee!

  8. I would love to see your header a cookie. It would be REALLT cool. Thanks to LISA UP there I am your new stalker. I WANT to win! Dont make me go all Charlie on ya! Finding you on FB! โ™ฅ

Remember the Mr. Men and Little Miss cartoon? They would be too cute on some cookies. Little Miss Chatterbox was my favorite, but I also liked Little Miss Sunshine and Mr. Tickle. Don't know why I thought of that.

I love retro….. I would love to see some CLASSIC cartoons, but not the ones you are thinking of… I would like to see cereal boxes! Old School Rice Crispies, Cocoa Puffs, Quisp, Capt'n Crunch, Frosted Flakes. etc.

  11. Dale

I love all the ideas, but have you considered Temples? In Primary for the month of July we are learning about Temples and since I have two sharing times to prepare, I've got Temples on the brain right now. Could start with the Ark and the Covenant, Nephi's temple patterned after Soloman's temple and on to the latter day temples. The kids would love the cookies! What do you think?

  12. wendy

Well, I was going to mention Ragnar cookies or Red Rock Relay cookies. Then I thought of our team name and then I thought, "Fairy Tale cookies!" So, all of those classic fairy tale characters would make great cookies, in my opinion. (So would race cookies.)

Guy cookies = worms, frogs, mostly slimy insects, rocks, mud, finger parts, eyeballs, basically gross stuff you wouldn't want to find on a cookie….

Girl cookies = Unicorns, glitter, eyelashes, kittens, finger nail polish… basically stuff you wouldn't find in a guys pocket….

How 'bout some "masterpiece" coookies? I think Starry Night by van Gogh would be fun or Monet's Water Lilies. Because of course you are the master of your craft!

  15. Heather Bordan

Hi Liz! I'm thinking a tree w/ family names would be super cool! A family cookie tree. We are planning a family reunion so this would be so neat! I was also thinking about "thank you" cookies for our clients here. We write so many different kinds of business and personal insurance! How about thank you written some cute way across a car, house, tractor, hammer, wine glass, we could think of all kinds of client related items and then put the thank you on them! ๐Ÿ™‚

My girls are adopted from China and I love Asian culture. I would love to see painted cookies of a koi pond, a fu dog, paper lanterns, pagoda, etc. Wow I can only imagine what you would come up with!

  20. Kim

I think some "50s" cookies would be so cute! Like some old cars, hamburger, fries and a milkshake, jukebox… things like that!

  21. brenda

I would love to see "Johnny Test" for my grandson

  22. Sue

Such an open invitation, my mind can't seem to narrow it down! Mmmm, how about all things pertaining to the central coast…I just noticed you are from my neck of the woods(I'm in Orcutt)! Your cookies (both painted and iced) have me awestruck! SO talented! I'm glad SweetSugarBelle mentioned you on fb! ๐Ÿ™‚

  23. JenPB

I would LOVE to see a nest of chicken cookies. How fun would THOSE be to make? You could select any breed (we're partial to Rhode Island Reds, Barred Rocks and Amercaunas, but of course it's cookie artists' choice). For added fun, you could throw in some egg cookies and present them all in a nest-like basket. Hmmm…the more I think about it, the more fun this sounds to me. Maybe I should learn to decorate something other than gingerbread men… ๐Ÿ™‚

Broadway themed cookies! Re-create posters of the most popular shows out there, plus comedy/drama masks, phrase cookies such as, "The show must go on!", etc. Could be a wonderful collection!

    Love your blog! <3

I am throwing Boston a vintage-y circus party next year- get to baking! lol, but seriously, I think it would be sooo cute to have cookies. I'm thinking water for elephants feel, but for kids. I hope this makes sense- I've been planning this party since before Calvin was born (waiting on a summer baby, since everything will be outside). I know, I'm crazy, but I love a good party! ๐Ÿ™‚

Have you ever made 3-D cookies? Boxes with lids that come off and hold "surprises" inside. Try baking cookies on an oven roasting pan, you know the kind with ridges. The cookies would come out in ridges. Would make great worms, snakes, waves, hills, etc. Use Necco waffers to make centers for flowers, shingles, balloons, etc. You can add "stitch" lines to them so that they look like they have been appliqued. Are you familiar with Zentangles? They would be great on cookies. Some of the stamps or molds used for polymer clay might work well for cookies also. Some of the regular rubber stamps would work for adding interesting texture to cookies. Research which flowers are edible. I know that pansies are. You can dip their petals in lemon juice and then in extra fine sugar. When they completely dry they will make wonderful cookie/cake decorations. You are such an artist with your cookies. I hope some of my ideas get your juices flowing! ritedebnow@yahoo.com

I think cookies that look like other food would be hilarious! I'm thinking of things like T-bone steak, chicken drumsticks, broccoli, baked potatoes, asparagus, etc. You could make a whole cookie meal!
