Chalk Art

It’s that time of year again when I lose all my fingerprints.  It must be autumn!  Every September the kids and I look forward to the Arte de Tiza chalk festival downtown.  The art association hands out bags of chalk and we pull up a square of sidewalk and get to work.

My kids always have a blast getting filthy and usually drawing as much on themselves as they do on the sidewalk.  This year, my 10 year old (Bailey) won FIRST place in the elementary school division!  I am so proud of her.  Here are our squares:

Bailey with her award-winning square
Denver is all about juxtaposition right now.  skeleton.  banana.  He says, “I’m just doing random stuff.”
Sage’s awesome quilt chalk square.

I chalked up this square.  Such good, clean fun!

I’m ready for autumn! Who’s with me?
