McGoo U: January 2017
McGoo U: January 2017
It's a brand new year full of discoveries and this month at McGoo U we are discovering faces and specifically eyes. There are lots of ways to create facial features: with dimensional piping, painting, wet on wet, and we will experiment with all of those this month, creating very different looks from cartoon to realistic. We will also decorate 3 different scales, small, medium, and extreme close up... and speaking of scales, I decided to give the small face a mermaid body just because!
Mixing It Up: January 2017
This month we get to know Carol Marinovich, former Mayor Kansas City, Kansas; who brought about amazing changes and improvements to the city. Her determination and drive to change the direction of her beloved home town is inspiring and her hard work has benefitted her community in countless ways. While she's retired from being mayor, she is continuing to be a voice in the local government. Though you wouldn't think someone so busy would have time for hobbies, Carol finds one of her favorite ways to spend her free time is to decorate cookies. She has some great tips, tools and techniques she has enjoyed using as she has picked up this new skill.

Extra Frosting: January 2017
There is always some frosting left over after a cookie project. Don't let it go to waste! This is the time to practice a technique or try something new. Earn a little extra credit and use up that extra frosting! All extra frosting segments are created spur of the moment, with no planning or designing, using the actual extra frosting leftover from McGoo U classes.
